Penglai Shenao Bioscientific Research Institute is an established business focusing on researching and producing health food and functional food products. Since our founding in 2001, we have been striving to build a vertically integrated business in the sea cucumber industry, and concentrating on advancing sea cucumber processing with modern food technologies. We provide high-quality and differentiating products to approval holders, brand owners, distributers and other customers through OEM and ODM arrangements.

In-house developments and joint R&D with our partners


As a biotechnology company, R&D has been the engine that drives our growth since our establishment. In addition to continuous in-house R&D efforts, we collaborate with a wide range of partners, including domestic and overseasacademic and research institutes, to further expand the depths and breadths of our health food and functional food product groups. In 2013, we signed cooperation agreements with Biology Institute of Shandong Academy of Sciences and Qilu University of Technology. In 2018, we further initiated joint development projects with the Life Sciences College of Yantai University.
